ChristianaCare Sleep Center is looking for an Office Assistant I.

ChristianaCare Sleep Center is located at 4735 Ogletown Stanton Road, Medical Arts Pavilion II, Suite 2210 in Newark, Delaware. ChristianaCare's Sleep Center provides expert diagnosis and personalized treatment for various sleep disorders, combining medical advancements with compassionate care. Our multidisciplinary team offers comprehensive solutions to help patients achieve restful sleep.

Our sleep clinic offers advanced treatment options for various sleep problems, including sleep apnea, insomnia, hypersomnia, restless legs syndrome, narcolepsy, and sleepwalking. We provide relief from snoring and fatigue with CPAP therapy, personalized strategies, and medication management, and help manage excessive daytime sleepiness. We also provide tailored treatments for restless legs syndrome, narcolepsy, and sleepwalking, which includes night terrors, teeth grinding, and bedwetting caused by poor sleep progression.

Sleep Medicine | ChristianaCare

The Medical Office Assistant I key responsibilities include scheduling appointments with consideration of insurance details, greeting patients professionally to collect demographic and financial information, and processing referral information while maintaining patient confidentiality.

Work Schedule:

• Monday through Friday from 7:30am to 4pm during training, after completion of training it will be 8am to 4:30pm

Duties / Responsibilities:
The Medical Office Assistant I will collect payments according to insurance guidelines, verify coverage, coordinate referrals, and perform daily reconciliation of appointments and payments. The Medical Office Assistant I communication tasks include answering phone calls professionally, relaying messages accurately, and utilizing EMR to communicate with providers and staff. The Medical Office Assistant I ensures timely updates to patients on issues until resolved, facilitates necessary testing and appointments, and prepares medical records by scanning and indexing reports into patient charts. The Medical Office Assistant I is responsible for researching patient issues and providing timely responses, assisting with administrative tasks such as copying and faxing, and adhering to safety protocols while reporting any unsafe conditions. Additional duties may be assigned as required.

Education Requirements:

• High School Graduate or GED required.

• Experience in a medical office setting is preferred but not required.
