The Senior Manager of Learning & Development is responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and evaluating employee development and global leadership programs. This role ensures end-to-end program management and alignment with organizational goals and collaborates across teams within and beyond Talent Development. The position leads a global team supporting leadership development initiatives and contributes to broader Talent and Learning & Development priorities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conducts organizational learning needs analysis through consultation with leadership and HR, data analysis, and research.
  • Oversees the design, development, and maintenance of learning programs for the Alight India population and supports optimization across global teams.
  • Leads a team responsible for planning, designing, facilitating, and administering leadership development initiatives such as webinars, roundtables, workshops, and coaching sessions.
  • Evaluates existing learning programs and recommends improvements based on evolving organizational priorities.
  • Defines clear learning objectives and supports an environment that encourages continuous development.
  • Collaborates with internal experts and external partners to develop learning solutions aligned with business needs.
  • Manages and updates enterprise-level onboarding content and experiences in response to organizational changes.
  • Measures the effectiveness and ROI of learning initiatives using relevant metrics and data.
  • Oversees projects using sound project management practices, including stakeholder engagement, logistics, budgeting, and administration.
  • Keeps current with learning and development methodologies and trends to enhance organizational learning strategies.
  • Supports the development of a culture that values continuous learning.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Learning & Development, Organizational Development, Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or a related field.
  • Strong facilitation, consulting, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport across organizational levels.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and learning content development tools such as Articulate and Camtasia.
  • Experience managing global learning programs across diverse regions.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects with flexibility and attention to quality in a dynamic environment.
  • Capable of working both independently and collaboratively.
  • Skilled in virtual facilitation tools such as MS Teams, including breakout rooms, polling, and whiteboards.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving, communication, and project management capabilities.
  • Proficient in evaluating learning data and providing actionable insights.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical thinking and organizational skills.
  • Commitment to professional growth and continuous learning.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification in Adult Learning or Education.
  • Master's degree in Learning & Development, Talent or Organizational Development, Industrial Relations, or a related field.
  • CPLP or CPTM certification.
  • Experience in mentoring and coaching.
  • Certification in psychometric tools such as DiSC.

Experience

  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in learning and development or organizational development.
  • Proven experience in managing global learning programs.
  • Experience leading direct or matrixed teams.
  • Skilled facilitator for both in-person and virtual learning sessions, with knowledge of adult learning principles.
  • Experience in instructional design using tools such as PowerPoint, Articulate, Captivate, and others.
  • Familiarity with assessment and psychometric tools.

Alight requires all virtual interviews to be conducted on video.

Salary Pay Range

Minimum :

90,000.00 USD

Maximum :

123,000.00 USD
