Embry-Riddle is now hiring an Assistant Director for Career Services at the Daytona Beach campus. The Assistant Director will assist the Executive Director and Director in carrying out the strategic initiatives and operations of Career Services. This position is responsible for providing career planning, career development, full-time job and cooperative education/internship position assistance services to the students and alumni of the University within various aviation focused majors.
Responsibilities include the following:
- Conduct career advisement with students and alumni. Arrange employment interviews for students and graduates.
- Establish personal contacts with pending/recent graduates and co-op applicants designated to you and assist them with the career development/employment process.
- Develop strong relationships with companies and organizations to create full-time and cooperative education/internship positions.
- Actively develop full-time permanent and co-op/internship positions for on-campus and career services management system listings.
- Responsible for overseeing statistics and assessment, to include working closely with the Executive Director to determine appropriate assessment measures, partnering with Institutional Research to create assessment instruments, collecting and analyzing data, and reporting on findings.
- Develops, coordinates, and oversees the Eagle Job Shadow Day program each semester, fostering meaningful connections between students and industry professionals while ensuring high levels of student participation and employer engagement.
- Leads the Senior Outreach and Pen Project initiative by providing individualized career advisement and strategic support to graduating seniors, guiding them through the transition to full-time employment opportunities.

Qualifications
Required Education and Qualifications:
Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in Career Services, higher education administration, or a related professional field, with demonstrated expertise in student development, employer relations, or career readiness programming. Proven analytical and technical proficiency, including advanced skills in data analysis, statistical reporting, and the use of information systems. Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook), CRM platforms, and internet-based applications; working knowledge of PC-based systems required. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft professional correspondence, deliver presentations, and engage effectively with diverse audiences. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with students, faculty, staff, and external partners using tact, professionalism, and cultural sensitivity. Skilled in managing multiple priorities under pressure, meeting deadlines, and thriving in a team-oriented environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in Higher Education Administration, Counseling, Business, Aviation, or a related field, demonstrating advanced knowledge of student development theory, program management, and institutional operations. Proven leadership and management experience with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize competing demands, and guide teams toward achieving organizational goals and strategic outcomes. Familiarity with career management platforms (e.g., Handshake, Simplicity, or similar systems) and customer relationship management (CRM) tools for tracking student outcomes and employer engagement.
