Role Objective

Reporting to the Channel Sales Vice President the National Sales Director, Non-Acute Healthcare is responsible for managing both the overall non-acute market business and medical channel distributors. This role develops and implements strategies for increasing sales and profitability within the non-acute team's assigned distributors and end-users. Achieves and maintains category leadership status with non-acute medical distribution partners, GPOs, and end-users. Drives field engagement initiatives and sales plans to penetrate the non-acute continuum of care. Responsible for business development, management and growth of assigned customers within the non-acute healthcare market (end-users) and channel (distributors). Manages others with direct supervisory responsibility.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Establishes customer partnerships that are conducive to creative ideation and category innovation
  • Facilitates effective management of all aspects of the customer business relationship; procurement, category management, marketing, supply chain, regulatory, quality and financial (P&L)
  • Ideates, develops and implements strategies for increasing sales, profitability and market share that achieve/exceed planned budget with assigned customers
  • Works closely with GOJO Healthcare Sales Team and GOJO Field Sales in implementing a robust distributor targeting program at individual end users as well as National Accounts
  • Achieves & maintains category leadership status with medical distribution
  • Manages distributor VSE's; continually evaluates distributor programming effectiveness and ROI for GOJO
  • Strives to achieve and maintain Category Leadership status with distributors; continually challenges and collaborates with GOJO Healthcare Sales Team to find ways to add more value to distributors' relationship with GOJO
  • Builds strong collaborative relationships with cross functional partners and Key Decision Makers, both internally and externally to facilitate profitable business growth
  • Ensures effective use of technology to manage business including role model implementation of CRM tools
  • Develops sales strategies including Targeting, Approaching, Presenting GOJO's Value Propositions, Installing and Driving Compliance for strategic customers
  • Serves as GOJO Subject Matter Expert (SME) of non-acute market activity, ensuring consistent monitoring of non-acute market trends and providing positive/negative market impacts and insights
  • Develops sales processes to support strategy; seeks continuous improvement
  • Coaches and develops direct reports
  • Assumes personal account responsibility and is involved in team selling with direct reports
  • Builds relationships with key influencers and decision makers
  • Responsible for leading distributor and GPO relationships to gain market and account access
  • Collaborates with Healthcare and Commercial organizations and manages cross-trade and inter-trade to minimize conflict
  • Collaborates with Healthcare Marketing and Product Management
  • Actively participates in test marketing and concept testing
  • Provides timely information to other members of the GOJO Healthcare Team, including clear lines of communication with Chanel Sales VP
  • Reviews financial statements and sales reports; provides accurate sales forecasts
  • Develops & communicates Sales Budgets for assigned accounts that are compatible with the overall sales & profitability objectives of the Healthcare Business
  • Monitors sales financial and spending activities to control variable selling expenses within budgets

Education and Experience

  • BS/BA degree with seven (7) - ten (10) years experience of national account healthcare sales and medical distribution management experience.
  • Distribution sales program development experience, distribution-related category management experience, and current medical distribution KDM relationships.
  • Strong background and experience in non-acute healthcare market.
  • Detailed knowledge of healthcare consumables, medical equipment and infection prevention.
  • Has current relationships with Key Decision Makers and demonstrated industry success with leading distributors and manufacturers.

Supervision/Coordination

  • Manage direct sales and marketing activities within assigned medical distribution channel partners and end-users.
  • Coordinates strategic and tactical sales plans.
  • Supervises direct reports.
  • May coordinate activities of project teams.

Travel Requirements
Overnight Travel - 50% or greater - required
Compensation & Benefits

The expected starting pay for this role is between 148,400.00 - 204,100.00 per year. Within this range, an offer will depend on factors such as level of experience and technical competencies relevant to this specific role, as well as internal equity considerations.
