JOB SUMMARY

Owens Corning's Roofing business is a market leader in asphalt shingles, roofing systems and building applications, serving residential and commercial customers across North America and Europe. With 2024 revenue exceeding $4.5 billion, the segment continues to deliver strong performance through strategic pricing, operational excellence, and customer focus.

We're seeking a Vice President of Finance to serve as a strategic partner to the Roofing President and leadership team. This role is responsible for shaping financial strategy, enabling execution, and driving value creation. It blends financial leadership with enterprise thinking-ensuring the business delivers on its commitments to shareholders, customers, and employees while positioning for long-term growth.

Reports to: Owens Corning Roofing President, and a dotted line into OC's Chief Finance Officer

Span of Control: 80+ Finance professionals

Location: World Headquarters - Toledo, Ohio


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic Leadership & Execution:



  • Drive business results and deliver profitable growth through partnerships with Sales and Operations, Marketing, GMs and R&D.
  • Develop and communicate a compelling financial narrative to effectively engage and influence investors, stakeholders, and the broader market.
  • Embed external shareholder perspective into decision-making and resource allocation.
  • Shape and support business strategy through financial planning, portfolio analysis, and capital deployment.
  • Deliver actionable insights that drive competitive advantage, margin expansion, and long-term growth.
  • Ensure alignment between strategic objectives and financial outcomes.



Performance & Risk Management:



  • Lead annual planning, forecasting, and performance reviews with a focus on agility and accountability.
  • Identify and address margin leakage, optimize working capital, and maximize cash flow.
  • Ensure investment decisions are financially sound and aligned with strategic priorities.
  • Maintain strong financial controls, compliance, and risk oversight.



Digital Fluency and Analytics:



  • Drive the adoption of AI, cloud computing, and automation.
  • Champion digital transformation initiatives across finance and operations.
  • Use predictive analytics and intelligent forecasting tools to drive performance, scenario planning, and risk mitigation.



Board & Stakeholder Engagement:



  • Prepare and present board-level materials with clarity and strategic insight.
  • Engage regularly with external stakeholders including investors, customers, suppliers, and public officials.
  • Serve as a key voice in M&A evaluations and integration planning.



Organizational Leadership and Collaboration:



  • Build and lead a high-performing, diverse finance team with strong accountability and development pathways.


  • Operate effectively and inclusively in a matrixed environment across functions, geographies, and cultures.
  • Partner across the enterprise to ensure strategic alignment and operational excellence.
  • Model Owens Corning's values and leadership behaviors, inspiring trust and collaboration.



JOB REQUIREMENTS

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:



  • 15+ years of experience in manufacturing-based companies, including 3+ years in executive leadership at a company with $1B+ in revenue.
  • Experience in multiple areas of finance, including commercial and operations finance. Additional experience in Investor Relations, treasury or accounting is preferred.
  • Proven track record of value creation.
  • Direct reporting experience to a senior P&L leader within a business unit.
  • Board-level engagement, including preparation and presentation of strategic financial materials.
  • Regular interaction with external stakeholders-investors, suppliers, customers, and public officials.
  • Key contributor or decision-maker in M&A activity.
  • Proven success operating in a complex, matrixed environment across functions, geographies, and cultures.
  • Track record of attracting, developing, and retaining top finance talent.
  • Global perspective through international leadership experience or oversight of multi-country operations.
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced credentials (MBA, CPA) strongly preferred.
