We are seeking an experienced Client Engagement Manager with expertise in the applications of risk adjustment and predictive modeling. Use cases such as rating and underwriting, value-based care and care management interventions are a key knowledge area. This position will lead solution execution for a focused portfolio of clients. By leveraging trusted client relationships, cross-functional collaboration, and a business owner mindset, the Client Engagement Manager ensures that the features of the MARA product meet client needs across various use cases and applications. This individual also closely monitors client satisfaction and takes proactive measures to help clients achieve business and clinical objectives in risk adjustment environments such as rating/underwriting, population health, and value-based care.

The Client Engagement Manager deeply understands the unique needs of the healthcare industry, including commercial, Medicaid, and Medicare market segments. Experience working with healthcare clients operating in individual and group rating, population health, and value-based care is a priority and engaging frequently to ensure satisfaction and the delivery of impactful applications of MARA results and features to craft solutions is required. This is a critical role in retaining clients, developing tactical plans and roadmaps, and collaborating with teams across MARA and Milliman Health, including Product, Operations, Strategic Sales, Research and Development, and other Milliman products and Consulting Teams. This person will identify opportunities to maximize value and promote MARA's impact on clients through case studies and other initiatives.

This role directly contributes to MARA's growth, success, and ability to improve client success during critical moments in their journey to improve the health of their populations.

What You Will Do



  • Understand Client Needs: Develop a deep understanding of clinical and business needs for a focused client portfolio.
  • Client Engagement: Lead frequent client touchpoints and actively engage with key stakeholders to communicate results and drive continued progress.
  • Solution Execution: Lead cross-functional execution of client solutions, ensuring alignment with product and team goals.
  • Performance Monitoring: Continuously monitor and report operational performance for client solutions, proactively addressing gaps.
  • Customer Roadmaps: Collaborate with all members of the MARA Product Group to develop tactical plans to achieve client goals.
  • New Launches: Serve as the strategy lead for new client launches, including developing success plans for each customer.
  • Insight Sharing: Provide client insights cross-functionally to inform new solution and feature development.
  • Account Growth: Collaborate with the MARA team to identify and execute account expansion opportunities.
  • Champion Success: Highlight the positive impact MARA delivers through the development of case studies, client newsletters, and collaborate with sales and marketing to advance product initiatives.

  • Deep understanding of healthcare and population health, risk assessment, risk adjustment and predictive modelling use cases.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of healthcare population health analytics, risk adjustment, predictive modeling, including an understanding of competitive vendors.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of healthcare trends, and healthcare product developments.
  • Expertise in professional client service and building trusted relationships.
  • Strong business ownership mindset with a proactive approach.
  • Exceptional communication and executive presence, including proficiency in leading high-level meetings.
  • Ability to build and leverage cross-functional relationships in a fast-paced, remote environment.

Qualifications



  • Experience: minimum of 5 years of experience in client service or business operations roles within clinical data analytics, health tech, healthcare consulting, or health plans. Experience in underwriting, value-based care, or population health is essential.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree required; MBA, MPH, or other relevant graduate degree preferred. Clinical experience a plus.


Individual(s) must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for immigration support or sponsorship from Milliman now or in the future.

The Team

The MARA (Milliman Advanced Risk Adjuster) product team is a collaborative cross-functional team made up of software developers, research and development, applied research, sales and marketing, release management, quality assurance and client service areas. Team members work on a variety of projects across business areas and have a growth mindset.

Location

This is a remote position. The expected application deadline for this job is November 6, 2025.

Compensation

The overall salary range for this role is $104,900 - $207,720.

For candidates residing in:



  • Alaska, California, Connecticut, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Washington, or the District of Columbia the salary range is $115,390 - $190,410.
  • New York City, Newark, San Jose, or San Francisco the salary range is $125,880 - $207,720.
  • All other locations the salary range is $104,900 - $173,100.


A combination of factors will be considered, including, but not limited to, education, relevant work experience, qualifications, skills, certifications, etc.
