About the role

The CDL Driver I will perform duties associated with transporting hazardous and non-hazardous waste between Reworld facilities and the client's sites. Drivers will have the opportunity to operate a variety of manual and automatic transmission equipment including vacuum tankers, vacuum trucks, vans, and flatbeds.

Primary Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles, including vacuum tankers and roll-off trucks, to transport hazardous and non-hazardous materials in compliance with DOT regulations and company safety procedures.
• Operate specialized vacuum and pumping equipment for the loading, unloading, and transfer of liquid and solid materials at customer sites and facilities.
• Perform thorough pre- and post-trip inspections of all vehicles and equipment to ensure proper working condition and regulatory compliance.

Additional Responsibilities

• Complete all required administrative documentation related to transportation and material handling (e.g., manifests, bills of lading, medical waste tracking forms, logs, vehicle inspections, and incident reports).
• Ensure vehicle placarding is compliant with DOT and hazardous material regulations.
• Maintain clear and professional communication with dispatchers, customers, and team members regarding schedules, route changes, and delivery updates.
• Uphold company and DOT safety standards for the protection of employees, clients, and the public.
• Follow written and verbal geographic directions accurately; perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older in accordance with federal interstate driving requirements.
• Valid CDL Class A license required.
• Vacuum tanker and roll-off truck experience required.
• Minimum of 3 years commercial Class A driving experience, including tanker operation.
• Acceptable driving record in accordance with company and DOT standards.
• Tanker endorsement required
• Regional or home-daily driving availability.

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Physical Demands of the Role

• Ability to walk, stand, sit, and climb for extended periods.
• Ability to grab, grip, reach, push, pull, and lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in various weather conditions.
• Requires adequate visual acuity and hearing to safely perform all duties.
