POSITION SUMMARY

Sony Corporation of America ("SCA") is seeking a Spring 2026 law student intern to support the Legal Department. This is a paid internship and the intern will assist lawyers in transactional, litigation and corporate matters. SCA's law student intern program is designed to provide the intern with hands-on training in a real-world environment of an in-house legal department. Assignments will vary and may include researching and drafting memos, reviewing agreements and other legal documents, attending client meetings, negotiations, etc.

Interns will work in person at least 1-2 days in the NYC office for approximately 15-20 hours/week.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR POSITION

Your qualifications and experience should include:

  • Experience/background/course work/other indicia of interest in the fields of technology, media, or similar industries

  • Minimum of 3.0 GPA

  • Prior law firm/judicial internship or related internship experience is a plus

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and follow through on tasks until they are completed

  • Experience in discreetly handling confidential information preferred

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Must be enrolled in an ABA accredited law school

  • If applicant is seeking course credit, such applicant must be enrolled in an ABA accredited law school internship/externship or clinical program

Requirements:

  • Submit resume, cover letter, writing sample and copy of law school transcript as part of the application materials

  • Available to work starting January 2026 until the end of Spring 2026 semester

  • Candidate must be authorized to work in the U.S.

The target hourly rate for this internship is $23.00 per hour. The individual will be paid hourly and eligible for overtime.
