About The Role

Position is primarily responsible for inputting, processing, and performing other duties associated with the accounts payable function in the bank. Position performs vendor maintenance responsibilities for vendor maintenance, general ledger posting, and performs other duties within the department as assigned.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsible for assisting in handling the accounts payable process at the bank and obtaining all required approvals. Collect and sort bills/invoices for payment and scan into system; ensure vendor/payees have current W-9 on file prior to submitting invoices for payment; post payments to general ledger; and comply with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations.

Complete daily postings from various departments. Post payments to the general ledger, including loan funding, cash items, suspense and GL corrections, customer-owned items for cash management, foreign, etc.

Review registers to ensure accuracy and timeliness of payments. Track payment activity using MaintainX, reports, and other records.

Streamline the AP process; reduce paper and potential fraud by centralizing billing; promote email billing and credit card payment; identify AP vendors eligible to receive credit card payment.

Provide division level review and approval of employee expense charges through ZACT/Priv8Pay. Assist and provide tier 1 support as needed.

Collect initial vendor data and assist with vendor management requests, including but not limited to, annual risk assessment, financial data, and insurance.

Perform other administrative support duties as assigned/ needed. Provide backup coverage for coworkers.

Analyze monthly expenses, identify key expense areas, and provide analysis to department leads.

Provide backup for Accounting Specialist, including account reconciliation, preparation of reports in accordance with corporate and federal guidelines and procedures.

Must comply with all company policies and procedures and all applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control. Maintain strict confidentiality of customer's personal and financial information.

Develop and improve skills through training programs and regular feedback discussions with supervisors which help further professional development. Participate in all training sessions and complete all assigned OnCourse training courses and achieve a passing score by due date.

About You

Qualifiications:

  • A high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Six months to one year of similar or related experience.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

Working knowledge of standard office equipment. Basic computer skill with working knowledge or ability to learn various office software. Ability to analyze and interpret financial and statistical data.

Must be able to work extended hours or travel off site whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable, and timely attendance. Must be capable of climbing/descending stairs in an emergency.

Specific lifting abilities required by this job include: Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation/inspection of machines and/or using measurement devices at distances close to the eyes.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: Starting salary is dependent upon relevant experience and may vary based on the geographic location of the position.
