The Associate Director for Student Well-Being supports student success by providing comprehensive non-clinical case management services and leading wellness promotion initiatives. This role connects students with resources, coordinates care for those facing challenges, and delivers proactive education and programming that fosters a healthy, inclusive, and supportive campus environment.
Job Description
The Associate Director for Student Well-Being provides comprehensive non-clinical case management and health promotion support to enhance student well-being and success. This role combines direct case management with health and wellness programming and promotion, ensuring that students receive both individualized support and access to campus-wide wellness initiatives. The Associate Director plays a central role in supporting students of concern, particularly those facing challenges related to well-being, while also developing and delivering proactive wellness initiatives to the campus community. This position manages complex student cases and partners with internal and external stakeholders to address health and wellness outcomes.


The position serves as a critical campus resource to address student concerns, reduce barriers to success, and promote healthy outcomes. The Associate Director serves as a key point of contact for students experiencing personal, social, or health-related challenges, offering non-clinical support, resource coordination, and follow-up to reduce barriers to success. Through proactive outreach, intake, and ongoing support, the position ensures that students receive timely interventions and are connected to appropriate campus and community resources. As a core member of the university's CARE Team, the Associate Director collaborates with partners across campus to develop coordinated response strategies, maintain accurate case records, and analyze data to inform ongoing wellness initiatives.
The Associate Director leads efforts to create a campus culture of wellness through evidence-based health promotion programming. By designing and implementing initiatives aligned with the university's dimensions of wellness, the role helps builds student capacity for lifelong well-being. Collaboration with campus departments, student organizations, and community agencies is central to expanding resources and strengthening outreach.
Management Preference
Experience working in a closely related setting with a demonstrated knowledge of systems; experience managing response to crisis situations; experience working as part of case management support team preferred. Ability to actively listen to, understand, and respond positively to students, guiding them constructively through processes and procedures with a high level of professionalism and empathy.
