JOB TITLE: Factory Inspector (PTDE)

REPORTS TO: Jean Gerisch

SUPERVISES: None

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform inspections at manufacturing sites to ensure quality and control of the product's safety.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
* Conduct verification of all key manufacturing points (goods incoming area, quality system, production area, outgoing area) to ensure the product's safety on the market and the usage of the TUV SUD logo
* Conduct verification of product's critical components.
* Conduct visual and measurement tests
* Documents inspection results by completing TUV SUD reports
* Complete online annual test to maintain inspector status
* Participate in site monitoring to maintain inspector status

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Support the TUV SUD America vision and mission statement. Adhere to all TUV SUD America policies and procedures as outlined in the various Corporate Policies and the Employee Handbook. All employees are responsible for general cooperation and support of all TUV locations. All employees are expected to work in a manner that supports a safe and healthy work environment for themselves and others. This includes following established rules, policies and practices of environmental, health and safety in the workplace.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment;
Demonstrated, excellent oral and written communication skills;
Self-starter with a positive outlook and motivated attitude;

Be aware that you are representing TUV SUD and professionalism, integrity and respect must be adhered to at all times during the inspections.

Communicate with the manufacturing staff in a controlled, friendly and professional manner. Including when presenting non conformities.

EDUCATION:
Electrical engineer or equivalent electrical safety testing experience.

EXPERIENCE:
10 years experience;

* IPAD for performing inspection is required
