Manhattan Strategy Group (MSG), a leading management consulting firm, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Training Coordinator for an upcoming opportunity with the Department of Education. This position will be required to work in New York City. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee and manage the training initiative for the DOE, ensuring effective resource deployment and alignment with organizational goals. This role includes project management, KPI tracking, logistics coordination, and ensuring consistent, high quality training delivery across all boroughs.

The Training Coordinator will oversee the entire training initiative, ensuring the effective deployment of resources and maintaining alignment with DOE's goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Management and Coordination
- Serve as the primary point of contact between DOE and the vendor, ensuring alignment between DOE's needs and the proposed training solutions.
- Create and maintain a project timeline, identifying key milestones for training delivery across all five boroughs.
- Coordinate logistics for all training sessions, including venue selection (if in-person), virtual platform setup, equipment management, and resource distribution.
- Create multiple different tools and avenues to implement user training and support (videos, office hours, quick reference guides, FAQs, training modules, in-person training, on-site support, synchronous and asynchronous resources).
KPI and Progress Reporting
- Develop, monitor, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for training effectiveness, including attendance rates, participant engagement, and post-training assessments.
- Provide weekly and monthly progress reports to DOE leadership, including:
- Attendance Tracking: Ensure all users complete the necessary training sessions.
- Engagement Metrics: Track user participation, including questions asked, feedback received, and participation rates in interactive activities.
- Post-Training Assessments: Monitor results of user feedback surveys, quizzes, and knowledge checks to assess the effectiveness of training and areas needing improvement.
- Use these metrics to continuously adjust the training delivery approach and refine content.
Quality Assurance and Consistency
- Oversee trainers to ensure consistent content delivery and training quality across boroughs.
- Conduct regular check-ins with each borough trainer to gather feedback and ensure uniformity in content, approach, and execution.
Training Resource Development
- Collaborate with DOE's IT and instructional design teams to create and refine training materials.
- Ensure that all training materials, including guides, presentations, and videos, are up-to-date and accessible to users with varying levels of technical knowledge.
- Develop and distribute job aids, cheat sheets, and FAQs to support users in post-training.
Follow-Up Support Coordination
- Coordinate post-training support through virtual office hours, one-on-one sessions, or helpdesk resources to ensure users have ongoing access to assistance.
- Design and implement a follow-up communication plan, ensuring that users can easily access additional resources and ask questions.
Basic Qualifications
- BS or equivalent and 6+ years of applicable experience.
- 3+ years' experience supporting US federal agency projects (preferable with Department of Education)
- 6+ years in Project Management, particularly in coordinating training programs.
- 3+ years of experience developing or refining training materials.
- Experience in tracking and reporting on training effectiveness, such as attendance and engagement metrics.
- Proven ability to coordinate logistics and resources for large-scale training, both in-person and virtual.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Visio, Excel, Project, SmartSheet, Google Suite).
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to analyze training performance and adjust strategies based on feedback.
- Experience managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.
- Legal Authorization to work in the U.S. DOE requires fingerprinting.
Work Schedule
- Work is expected to be performed Monday through Friday. On occasion, resources may be asked to perform some tasks during non-regular business hours, weekends, or holidays based upon project priorities. Work may be performed onsite or virtually dependent upon project requirements.
- Resources are expected to work 35 hours per week, 7 hours per day.
- SUPPORT HOURS - When feasible, work will be performed during administrative business hours (7:00 AM to 5:00 PM). Unless explicitly requested by the DOE, resources will not perform services over the weekend or during public holidays.
