Your Role

As an Algorithm Developer at Aptiv, you will work at the forefront of innovation, contributing to the development of algorithms that power critical systems in autonomous driving, advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), and user experience features. You'll collaborate with a world-class team of engineers to design, test, and optimize algorithms that enhance vehicle safety, efficiency, and interactivity. This is an exceptional opportunity to develop your skills while working on real-world automotive challenges.

What You'll Do:

• Assist in the design, development, and implementation of algorithms for ADAS, autonomous driving, and vehicle control systems.
• Work with sensor data (cameras, LiDAR, radar) to build algorithms for object detection, tracking, and decision-making.
• Support the testing and validation of algorithms through simulation and on-vehicle testing, ensuring accuracy and robustness.
• Analyze and optimize algorithm performance to enhance system efficiency, responsiveness, and real-time operation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software developers and system engineers, to integrate algorithms into larger vehicle systems.
• Participate in problem-solving sessions to address challenges in perception, control, and system integration.
• Document findings and present insights to engineering teams, contributing to continuous improvements and innovations.

What You'll Need:

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related technical field.
• Graduating between December 2027 - May 2029
• Strong programming skills in C++, Python, MATLAB, or similar languages with a focus on algorithm development.
• Knowledge of algorithmic concepts in areas such as machine learning, computer vision, sensor fusion, or control systems.
• Familiarity with automotive systems and data processing from sensors like cameras, or radar is a plus.
• Analytical mindset with a passion for solving complex problems and developing efficient, real-time solutions.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a dynamic environment.
