What is the opportunity? This position is responsible for leading and driving to implementation assigned key strategic initiatives for US WM Operations. This role provides recommendations for the strategy, definition, development, delivery, and support of Operation's supported services and solutions. This position will assess and identify opportunities related to the financial, technical, operational, risk, regulatory functions associated with the US WM Operation's service support and systems platforms. The incumbent in this position is responsible for providing strategic recommendations, direction and partnering with Operations leadership and project sponsors to ensure the successful delivery of US WM Operation's priority initiatives as needed. In addition, this position will collaborate with US WM Operation's Executive Leadership, providing presentation and management reporting support. Incumbent will design, produce, and consult on a variety of internal and external to Operations management reports with emphasis on PowerPoint presentations for executive leaders. The incumbent will create visually appealing presentations that communicate complex information to the appropriate audience. This position is responsible for the creation and execution of McKinsey style presentations, as well as collaborating with employees throughout Operations to elevate the professionalism of our communication visuals. The Incumbent must work effectively and collaboratively with multiple departments and stakeholders (internal and external to Operations) to achieve quality and timely delivery of solutions, slides, and communications.
To be successful in this position, the incumbent will require a thorough understanding of RBC US Wealth Management's strategic priorities, competitive advantages, and positioning within the industry to ensure optimal alignment of US WM Operations plans and priorities with those of the firm. This position will partner with the Operations Senior Leadership team as needed with various business lines as well as the functional units within the firm, providing superior service support to both internal and external customers. The individual in this position is expected to be a knowledgeable senior level liaison for both Operations and RBC. Incumbent must understand regulatory and organizational risks associated with Operations solutions and initiatives. This position is responsible for adherence to policies, processes, procedures, standards, and appropriate regulations related to RBC Capital Markets Broker Dealer. The US WM Operations Transformation & Enterprise Initiatives Senior Manager will report dually to the Managing Director, Head of US WM Operations and Managing Director, Head of Operations Strategy & Transformation. What will you do? Operations Strategy & Initiative Support
- Collaborate with US WM Operation Executive Leadership to understand holistic vision and distill into US WM Operations' strategic roadmap and initiatives.
- Manage stakeholders by acting as a liaison between development teams and operations and business leaders to provide training, project updates, and validation on features and functionality.
- Establish and maintain credible, professional relationships with vendors, internal business lines and Operations leaders soliciting and responding to feedback and gaining their commitment and support.
- Apply knowledge of industry trends, requirements, and technologies to long-term strategy for areas of responsibility and coordinate with Operations departments and other RBC business units.
- Articulate business value, business case and desired user experience for strategic initiatives.
- Ensure project alignment to strategies across Operations and RBC Business functional areas.
- Lead, manage the execution of US WM Operations assigned strategic initiatives to ensure overall performance meets or exceeds the established industry, regulatory and company standards for service, innovation, and professionalism.
- Partner with Operations Executive Leadership to identify specific success metrics and implement status reporting.
- Manage timely resolution on change requests, open decisions and/or actions items impacting initiative timelines identified as requiring additional support.
- Recommend strategies for change management including communication best practices while supporting employees through the process and keeping them focused on business priorities.
- Ensure organizational change management is executed to support Operations and business partner transition to revised and/or new processes.
- Participate in Operations, firm, and/or industry initiatives providing process design, expert management reporting knowledge, technical expertise, and problem solving. Provide business requirements, UAT testing, and implementation support as required.
- Ensure transparent communications regarding status and planned enhancements to Operations leadership.
Presentation Design
- Design professional and visually appealing custom slides, templates, and presentations.
- Ensure presentations adhere to brand guidelines and advise on the best graphics approach.
- Use data visualization to present quantitative information.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop ideas and finalize presentations.
- Develop guidelines and ensure consistent presentation formatting.
- Iterate designs based on constructive criticism from leadership and stakeholders and maintain version control.
What do you need to succeed? Must-have
- 5+ years working as a Business Systems Analyst with progressively increasing responsibilities in the areas of requirement management on large and complex projects and an Undergraduate Degree in Computer Science Degree, Business or equivalent
- 3+ years prior securities, banking, technology and/or job specific related industry experience
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize and work independently under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Fully proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Nice-to-have
- 4-year degree from an accredited university in business, finance or related field
- 4+ year business, finance, customer service and/or accounting/securities experience

The good-faith expected salary range for the above position is $85,000 - $150,000 depending on factors including but not limited to the candidate's experience, skills, registration status; market conditions; and business needs. This salary range does not include other elements of total compensation, including a discretionary bonus and benefits such as a 401(k) program with company-matching contributions; health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance; and paid time-off plan.
