DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will act as the County Reimbursable Accident Reports Coordinator, tasked with assessing damage to state property and determining necessary repairs. You will input relevant information into the Plant Maintenance system to facilitate the processing of invoices from Central Office to the appropriate parties. Additionally, you will function as the County Tort Coordinator, managing accident claims by gathering information and providing local data to evaluate incidents that occur within the county. As the County Accident Investigation Coordinator, you will review serious accident reports from the police department or media, conduct field assessments, capture photographs, and gather pertinent data. Collaboration with the police department and the District Tort Coordinator is essential for compiling and electronically submitting reports. You will also conduct site visits to active contractor work locations to ensure compliance with contract standards. After inspecting damaged guide-rails, you will estimate repair costs based on likely quantities and methods. Furthermore, you will provide technical analysis and independent evaluations of the organization's maintenance programs, adhering to established guidelines, while more complex issues will be escalated to the Roadway Programs Coordinator for review and accuracy checks. - Full-time employment
- Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Hours may vary and overtime may be required during winter weather events.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as a Roadway Programs Technician 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- One year of experience in analysis of data utilized in planning and scheduling of work, materials and equipment, and an Associate's Degree in the field of Business Administration, Computer Science, Highway Engineering Technology or closely related program; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
