DESCRIPTION OF WORK

Our passionate and dedicated nursing team provides 24/7 care, ensuring that our residents receive support every day of the week. From assisting with their morning routines to helping them engage in enjoyable activities, you will have a significant role in their daily lives. Your direct interactions with our residents will allow you to make a meaningful impact on their quality of life by delivering top-notch care. This position serves as a steppingstone toward becoming a Nurse Aide. After completing a training course and successfully passing the competency exam, along with a classroom course and an orientation program, you will have the opportunity to advance into a Nurse Aide position.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment, 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week
  • Work hours are 2nd shift (3:00 PM to 11:30 PM) or 3rd shift (11:00 PM to 7:30 AM), rotating days, weekends, and holidays, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Additional Requirement:

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Preferred Qualifications (not required):

  • Willingness and ability to work in Scranton, Lackawanna County, PA
  • Willingness to work a full-time permanent position for the 2nd shift (3:00 PM to 11:30 PM) or 3rd shift (11:00 PM to 7:30 AM), with rotating days, weekends, and every other holiday (after certification is obtained on an 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM shift in a classroom orientation).
  • Willingness to successfully complete an 8-hour online training course prior to hire and provide a certificate of completion
  • Work experience caring for geriatric or physically ill individuals
  • Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent

Legal Requirements:

  • A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
  • This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
    • Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
