DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Semi Skilled Laborer, you will be responsible for grass cutting, snow and ice removal, landscaping, equipment operation and maintenance, as well as minor masonry, carpentry, painting, and plumbing duties. This role requires assisting other trades employees as needed and a genuine desire to support a facility that cares for some of Pennsylvania's most vulnerable residents. In addition, you will determine effective work methods and procedures for daily tasks, keep sidewalks and parking areas free of debris, and operate mechanized and motorized equipment such as gang mowers, rollers, and roto-tillers. - Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
- Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $36,108.00 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year of experience in laboring work including the use of tools and equipment used in maintenance or construction; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Conditions of Employment:
- This position requires possession of a valid PA non-commercial Class C driver's license or equivalent.
Additional Requirements:
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Preferred Qualifications (not required):
- Willingness and ability to work in Spring City, Pennsylvania
- Experience in laboring work including the use of tools and equipment used in maintenance or construction
- Experience in maintenance and electrical work
- Experience with hand tools and power tools
- Experience in general labor
- Willingness to work outside, potentially in adverse weather conditions
Legal Requirements:
- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
- Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
