Join our team as a Government Property Management Specialist in Louisville, KY.

Pay: Up to $38.90/hr.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Maintain accurate, auditable records of all government-owned property throughout its full lifecycle - acquisition, utilization, inventory, maintenance, and disposal.
  • Ensure compliance with FAR/DFARS regulations, company policies, and contractual requirements.
  • Prepare internal and external reports (e.g., LTDD, RODS, GFP Module, IUID registry, property tax reports, inventory, and plant clearance).
  • Conduct physical inventories and audits of government property, including at vendor and subcontractor locations.
  • Coordinate with Program Managers, Contract Administrators, and Purchasing to manage excess property and facilitate proper disposal.
  • Support self-assessments, DCMA reviews, and corrective actions to maintain compliance.
  • Identify property issues, propose practical solutions, and maintain current records and documentation.
  • Collaborate across departments and communicate regularly with government representatives and internal stakeholders.


Qualifications:



  • Solid working knowledge of FAR 52.245-1, FAR Part 45, DFARS Part 245, and related government property regulations.
  • Experience in government property, logistics, inventory control, or materials management.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and ERP/database systems.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills; ability to write clear reports and procedures.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and make sound decisions under regulatory guidelines.
  • Preferred: NPMA Certification (CPPS), experience with PIEE (GFP Module/IUID Registry), and prior work in a defense contracting environment.
  • Education: High school diploma with 6+ years relevant experience, or Associate's degree with 4+ years, or Bachelor's degree with 2+ years (Bachelor's preferred).
