Department OverviewThe global Digital Signal Processing (DSP) team is responsible for architecting, designing and developing real-time software for digital communications and audio for Motorola Solutions worldwide portfolio two-way radio products.

The team is responsible for delivering Audio and RF Signal Processing Software and has ownership of all Applications Processor DSP subsystems, including Audio Management. Job Description

This position is for a DSP Software Engineering internship opportunity at Motorola Solutions in Plantation, Florida. We are looking for engineers with a strong interest in DSP and embedded systems to help expand our team and deliver the next generation of communication devices to our customers.

  • Knowledge of fundamentals of Digital Signal Processing and/or Digital Communication

  • Experience in C/C++ is a plus

  • Knowledge of Machine Learning is a plus

  • Experience with, Matlab, Python, Perl is a plus

  • Experience in real-time embedded software is a plus

  • Strong communication and problem solving skills is a plus

  • Experience using version control; Git is a plus

  • Experience with Linux is a plus

  • Experience with embedded development/debug tools (such as emulators/JTAG, etc.) is a plus.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Work in an Agile/Scrum team to analyze, design, implement cutting edge real-time software for DSP algorithms and Low Level device drivers to be used in wireless products

  • Teamwork in a multi-site, world-wide development environment

  • Finding, tracking, and repairing device software defects

  • Create and execute unit, integration, system, load, and acceptance tests

Basic Requirements
  • Must be pursuing a Bachelors or Masters Degree in one of the following programs : Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical & Computer Engineering.
