Responsible for training and education needs assessments for requested & proposed education to support strategic goals and initiatives of Northside Hospital. Provides direction to professional health care providers/educators on specific requirements and on education methods and techniques within an area of professional specialty. Researches and identifies best practices for course and platform model of delivery. Analyzes performance needs, defines program objectives, designs curriculum, and determines learning solutions. Oversees program design/redesign based on evaluation and clinical outcomes.

  • This system manager position will have oversite of Ongoing education/clinical education, continuing education, ANCC Certification, and simulation training.

REQUIRED

  1. 4+ years of work experience in professional development, continuing education, and staff development.
  1. Masters in Nursing or related field.
  2. Effective analytical and organizational skills, as well as excellent oral and written communication skills.
  3. Demonstrated ability to educate others and serve as a positive change agent.
  4. Previous experience in team process development, facilitation, and education.
  1. Excellent facilitation and presentation skills
  2. Expertise in innovative training and education delivery strategies.
  3. Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate and manage relationships at all levels.
  4. Proficient in data management and analysis.
  5. Excellent written, oral and presentation skills, with strong follow-through and the ability to think on his or her feet.
  6. Experience in the areas of clinical education, recruitment and retention, organizational behavior, group facilitation, program design and implementation.

PREFERRED

  1. Doctorate in Nursing or related field
  2. Management experience in leading and delivering complex projects.
  3. 10+ years of work experience in professional and leadership development, continuing education, staff development, and/or nursing research.
  4. 10+ years of experience in healthcare operations, healthcare clinical quality, clinical education, clinical process improvement, clinical operations improvement, healthcare consulting, or health services research.
  5. Professional Nursing Certification preferred upon hire or within one year of hire
