Job Summary

Drexel University's Thomas R. Kline School of Law seeks an Assistant Director for Kline's new undergraduate Law major; one of only about a half-dozen such programs in the United States. We seek an experienced student advisor and creative thinker who will work collaboratively with Law School and University offices and independently to meet immediate deadlines and pursue long-term projects that support students' academic success and continued development of the program.

The Assistant Director serves as the primary academic advisor to students enrolled in this highly interdisciplinary program. This role is instrumental in expanding our curriculum and ensuring student academic success. We are proud that the undergraduate Law program was named Drexel's Lindy Center for Civic Engagement Outstanding Education Partner for 2025, and ideally seek an individual excited to help the program continue to develop innovative, exciting experiential learning opportunities, in addition to student advising responsibilities.

In just three years the program has grown to well over 100 majors and almost 70 minors. Experience and ability to connect effectively with a diverse student body is important: about 70% of our students are people of color, about 60% are women, about half our majors are first-generation college students, and about half are from low-income families. We look forward to meeting dynamic, enthusiastic candidates eager to help our terrific students meet their academic goals.

This position reports directly to Kline's Associate Dean for Undergraduate Education.
