Under the supervision of the Patient Support Services Supervisors, the Telemetry/Video Monitor Breaker/Resource is a hybrid position spanning both the Telemetry and Video Monitoring departments. This role is responsible for remote cardiac monitoring, continuous patient observation, and serving as a resource to provide relief, breaks, and clinical support to staff members on duty. This hybrid resource position supports both cardiac monitoring and video patient observation to promote safety and quality care. Key responsibilities include rhythm interpretation, documentation, and timely communication of cardiac variances to clinical staff. The role also involves active video monitoring to prevent falls, self-harm, or equipment removal, with appropriate escalation of safety concerns. Additional support includes troubleshooting telemetry leads, pulse oximetry, and monitoring equipment, replacing batteries, repositioning cameras, and assisting with transitions to VMT. This position plays a critical role in ensuring continuous monitoring, supporting hospital-wide safety initiatives, and maintaining compliance with confidentiality and hospital policies. Pay Transparency Act Annual Full Pay Range: $54,017 - $67,129 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%) Hourly Equivalent: $25.87 - $32.15 Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position.
