Duties and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily: Ability to perform all duties performed by Painter Level 1 and : Complete the final and advanced buffing as needed Apply the finished painting on swinging doors, bodies, and smart access components Apply Zolatone as required by specs Apply Speed liner as requred by build specs Complete the interior caulking of the body Paint wheels Self-check work and inspect prior processes Meet production goals Maintain a clean and safe work area Initiate process improvements when able Work in close proximity to customer, as needed Operate any equipment or tools needed to perform the job Assist other team members and departments as needed Other duties as assigned Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent experience Vocational training in body/work vehicle repair or equivalent experience Advanced painting skills required Experience applying caulk to the finished project Ability to use basic hand and power tools Ability to read and use a tape measure to precise measurements Ability to work in a team environment Ability to maintain attendance within company guidelines Ability to retain and apply instructions Positive attitude Work overtime on short notice Embrace change Basic computer skills Basic math skills; addition, subtraction, multiplication and division Must be detailed orientated Ability to read and understand truck specification documents Ability to communicate and understand in English Ability to work within safety guidelines Must be self-motivated Must be able to work with little to no supervision after two weeks SCHEDULE: Hours depend on business and department needs. All positions are subject to overtime as needed. Overtime can be scheduled by adding additional days to the scheduled days for the week or by extending the hours worked.
