Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Coordinator, Educational Informatics - NYU Grossman School of Medicine, Long Island - Mineola.

In this role, the successful Education Informatics Coordinator provides comprehensive educational technology and data support for faculty, students, and staff at the NYU Grossman Long Island School of Medicine. This role is responsible for managing educational platforms, training users, and leveraging data analytics to enhance medical education. The coordinator serves as a key liaison between academic departments and IT teams, ensuring seamless integration of technology and informatics to enhance the educational experience.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support for faculty, students, and staff across educational platforms.
  • Train users on learning management systems (LMS) and other educational tools.
  • Manage user access and permissions for various systems.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards in Tableau for educational data reporting and analysis.
  • Import, Export and manage academic data using Tableau, RedCap and Excel.
  • Support data strategy and ensure data integrity across platforms.
  • Oversee LMS (Brightspace) operations, including enrollments, course setup, and feature testing.
  • Maintain and update NYUGLISOM applications, MyFeedback and MyGrades systems for evaluations and grading.
  • Manage course content and evaluations in TITAN and related platforms.
  • Office of Student Affairs (OSA):Manage Navigator, assist with visiting student enrollment, and maintain course systems (Pathfinder, MyFeedback).
  • Research:Support student and faculty research registration and tracking using Brightspace, RedCap, Python, MySQL, and Tableau.
  • Office of Medical Education (OME):Administer Brightspace courses, develop rubrics, and manage course copies.
  • Coordinate with faculty and administrative teams to ensure smooth technology integration.
  • Performs related duties as assigned or requested.

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Bachelor's Degree in a related field Required. 1 - 3 Experience with web applications and technologies Required. Proficient in MS Office Required. Excellent consultative and communication skills, analytical ability, decisiveness, strong judgment, and the ability to work effectively with clients, IT management, staff and vendors. Know when it is appropriate to escalate a problem Required. Must have excellent interpersonal skills, and ability to understand the business and technical needs of the client as well as foster customer relationship building and deliver outstanding customer service Required. Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate technical information to non-technical users; ability to work effectively with customers. Candidate should be able to work in a fast-paced environment, support multiple initiatives simultaneously, prioritize work to meet and or exceed established service levels and be dependable Required.

Preferred Qualifications:
Masters degree Preferred. Experience with learning management systems (Brightspace preferred). Proficiency in data management and data visualization (Tableau required). Familiarity with MySQL, Python and Redcap (preferred).

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $58,500.00 - $73,034.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
