How You'll Perform the Role

  • Monitor and ensure employees have a safe work environment and all plant safety and compliance rules are followed by employees who oversee on a day-to-day basis.
  • Reinforce PPE policies, requiring all quality employees and visitors to wear steel-toed shoes, hearing protection, safety glasses, and others as required.
  • Ensure assigned work area is kept clean and organized.
  • Assist Office Manager in overseeing quality daily activities to help ensure company goals and objectives are met.
  • Provide feedback on quality staffing, processes, and performance.
  • Assist in evaluation newly hired employees and make recommendations to the Office Manager as to retraining and retention.
  • Provide quality training and retraining to all employees and progress updates as needed.
  • Ensure proper supplies are kept for the facility while keeping costs to a minimum.
  • Meet/achieve safety, quality, production, waste, housekeeping and cost goals set forth by management.
  • Responsible for the testing of products and recording data; and, performs alternative testing as required.
  • Notifying management of non-conforming material.
  • Extensive recordkeeping, documentation, and reporting.
  • Work with current production management system to help manage non-conforming product and inventory.
  • Perform safety and quality audits.


What We Need From You

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Strong computer and math skills required. Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Outlook preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills required
  • Strong organization and time management skills are necessary
  • Experience with product testing, past quality experience required; experience overseeing day-to-day work of others preferred
  • Ability to work overtime when required/some weekends and holidays will be required
