Intern Engineering - Spring/Fall

Our program has been in place for years at Parker and some of our most successful leaders started their career with us in an intern role. By joining our Intern Program, you will become a valued member of our team - tackling challenging issues, delivering truly impactful results, and providing you the opportunity to grow both technically and personally through practical working experience before graduation.

• Position will be based at Parflex's production facility in Mansfield, Texas.
• Will be responsible to manage, and complete projects assigned by Engineers and direct Supervisor in a safe and timely manner.
• Participate on new product development and problem-solving teams.
• Work and communicate with product, quality and manufacturing engineers.
• Provide support to product engineers and lab personal performing tasks that include sample preparation, testing, and equipment improvements and troubleshooting.
• Utilize computer software to generate engineering reports.
• Complete any other similar or associated duties necessary to accomplish job objectives, or as assigned by the immediate supervisor.

• Must be actively pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical or Polymer Engineering.
• Strong analytical, mechanical conceptualization, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to quickly learn new computer applications.
• Detail oriented individual with demonstrated organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently (with minimal supervision) and within a team environment.
• Must have a desire to continuously learn, grow, and develop skills and knowledge.
