JOB MISSION:

As the Project Development Lead for New Balance Golf, you will drive the successful execution of our golf product line from concept to market. You'll lead cross-functional development efforts, ensuring alignment with performance, quality, and strategic KPIs. This role requires proactive problem-solving, process innovation, and the ability to manage complex projects beyond standard development milestones.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Manage and track development activities across the value chain, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with strategic goals.

  • Partner with internal teams to deliver high-quality, performance-driven products on schedule.

  • Identify and implement enhancements in manufacturing and development processes.

  • Apply deep knowledge of footwear design, materials, molding, costing, and manufacturing to guide product development.

  • Develop and execute validation plans for Tier 1 and Tier 2 projects, ensuring performance fit and wear test standards are met.

  • Contribute to the creation of new products by integrating industry insights, competitive analysis, and technical drawings (2D/3D CAD).

  • Recommend solutions that optimize cost, manufacturability, and design integrity.

  • Approve and guide new sole and last development, ensuring alignment with performance and cost targets.

REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS:

  • Bachelor's degree required; Engineering degree preferred.

  • 10+ years of product development experience, including 8+ years in footwear.

  • Proven project management expertise (Lean Six Sigma, Creative Problem Solving, PMP).

  • Strong understanding of the golf industry and its product landscape.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

  • Demonstrated leadership and ability to drive cross-functional alignment.

  • Skilled in building relationships across triad teams and organizational levels.

  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Flexible Work Schedule

New Balance Associates currently work in office three days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday). Our offices are fully open, and amenities are available across our North American office locations. To continue our focus on hybrid work we have introduced "Work from Anywhere" (WFA) for four weeks per calendar year.
