Responsibilities

Responsible for all aspects of underwriting and regulatory control of the Real Estate Lending Department. Responsible for maintaining all agency and investor guideline implementation to ensure the safety and quality of the lending portfolio. Employs underwriting methods to ensure compliance with company, agency, NCUA, and industry guidelines. Participates in developing relationships with government agencies, MI vendors, credit agencies, and title companies. Responsible for quality control of Real Estate lending process to include development and implementation of training programs for Loan Officers, Processors, Closers, Underwriters, and auditing personnel. Represents Grow Financial in the community whenever necessary participating in community and advisory groups and organizations.



Qualifications

Required Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor of Arts/Science degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.
  • 5 years related experience in mortgage lending and underwriting required.
  • 3 years of experience in a leadership or supervisory role required; supervisory experience within Real Estate Lending preferred.
  • Has a good understanding of secondary market guidelines to include automated underwriting.
  • Ability to perform complex income analysis. Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex tax returns, including corporate, partnerships and sub-s corporations.
  • Ability to perform in a multi-tasked, deadline-oriented environment, with ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Working knowledge of PC with the ability to learn new software.
  • Effective leadership and negotiation skills with ability to adapt to change within working responsibilities, be it internal, market, or regulatory driven.

Physical Demands

  • Must be able to sit, type and/or view computer monitor for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and type English.
  • Must be able to hear and use a telephone.
  • Use of computer requires repetitive keystrokes.

Work Environment

  • This role is fully remote, with the option to work from our HQ or retail locations.
