SUMMARY

Employee provides administrative and investigative support to the County Detective(s) and Investigative Analysts within the Special Services Unit. The employee will perform data base queries and review electronic evidence and be involved in the collection, processing, and dissemination of information within the Intelligence Cycle.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as JTAC/TAC for DA's Office and Detective Bureau.
  • Fingerprint new hires and interns.
  • Respond to records checks requests (federal, state, out of state).
  • Conduct PICS checks for DA's Office.
  • Submit monthly UCR reports.
  • Oversee OfficeWanted Person's List.
  • Responsible for Detective Bureau archiving.
  • Assist in Private Detective Licensing investigations.
  • Assist other detectives and units as requested.
  • Able to navigate the Office Report Management System as well as State and Federal databases, databases for criminal dockets, inmate status, release dates, etc.
  • Assist Evidence Technician with the physical inventory of evidence items in storage.
  • Provide administrative support to the units supervisor in a variety of areas including statistics, information.

  • High School Diploma.
  • Some college credits: Criminal Justice.
  • Knowledge of Criminal Justice System.
