Clinical Assistant - Division of Immunology

The Immunology Program at Boston Children's Hospital evaluates and treats children with various types of immune system disorders. We view educating each patient as one of our most important goals. With each child and family, we discuss the basis of immunodeficiency and the possibilities for avoiding infection.

Key responsibilities:
  • Assisting clinician during examinations in a fast paced environment (i.e. obtaining, measuring and recording routine information such as temperature and blood pressure, rooming patients, and performing other related duties according to specific needs of clinic).
  • Assisting with scheduling of appointments. Answering, screening and routing telephone calls and performing general office support tasks.
  • Collecting, verifying and recording required information according to established procedures and instructions.
  • Identifying and reporting unusual findings or changes in patient condition to Registered Nurse, Physician Assistant or Physician.
  • Obtaining records, files and/or results for appointments and entering related information on appropriate computer systems.
  • Providing general support for clinical operations, including stocking,
  • Rotating between Boston and 2 Brookline Place locations, as well as between Fegan 6 specialties.
  • Ability to work occasional evening hours.


Minimum qualifications:
Education:
  • A HS Diploma or equivalent.

Experience:
  • 1 year of Clinical Assistant experience or related healthcare experience.
  • Pediatric experience strongly preferred.

Please note: During a public health emergency, individuals in this role may be expected to take on additional duties to respond to organizational needs.

The posted pay range is Boston Children's reasonable and good-faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting.

Any base pay offer provided depends on skills, experience, education, certifications, and a variety of other job-related factors.
