Overview This position will be worked hybrid in our Southington, CT office - 3 days on site, 2 days remote. The Accountant l is a key team member completing critical tasks related to insurance transaction processing, financial and management reporting, reconciliations, account analysis, as well as providing process enhancements. The position will support the Finance team with demands related to AmTrust Specialty Programs Unit, maintaining a solid understanding of AmTrust's mission, vision, and values. Upholds the standards of the AmTrust organization. Responsibilities
Perform routine activities including analyzing and reconciling data, and other month-end close activities supporting the accounts receivable team
Qualifications Required: * Bachelor Degree in Business with a major in accounting, or equivalent * 2-4 years of experience in accounting, preferably insurance * Intermediate Excel (pivot, vlookup, etc.), and Microsoft Office skills * Ability to multi-task while working independently in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines * Ability to identify problems and propose viable solutions * Excellent oral and written communication skills, attention to detail and accuracy. * Must be flexible and have demonstrated skills to work effectively in a team-oriented environment * Strong initiative, problem solving, and interpersonal skills, plus an orientation toward continuous improvement * Strong appreciation for the importance of ensuring accuracy in all levels of financial reporting The expected salary range for this role is $65,000-$75,000/year
