Patient Service Representative (PSR) - Neurology, Biddeford

MaineHealth - Neurology Department
Barra Road Biddeford, ME 04005

Schedule:

  • Full-Time

  • Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

  • Consistent daytime schedule (no weekends or holidays)

Position Summary:
MaineHealth is seeking a Patient Service Representative (PSR) to join our Neurology team in Biddeford. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in starting a career in healthcare - no prior experience is required, and comprehensive on-the-job training will be provided.

As a PSR, you will be the first point of contact for patients, responsible for greeting, registering, and scheduling patients, managing phone calls, and supporting daily front office operations in a fast-paced neurology practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and check in patients with professionalism and compassion

  • Schedule appointments and manage provider calendars

  • Answer incoming calls and direct inquiries appropriately

  • Collect and verify insurance and patient information

  • Assist with administrative tasks and patient flow

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  1. Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
  2. License/Certifications: N/A
  3. Experience: Previous office experience with medical office experience preferred.
  4. Additional Skills/Requirements Required: N/A
  5. Additional Skills/Requirements Preferred: Proficient computer skills.
