*Job Description*
* Responsible for preparing, staging, setting up, and executing startups and shutdowns of equipment (e.g., racks, hard drives, switches) by following detailed instructions, checklists, and standard operating procedures. * Conducts post-installation quality checks to ensure proper grounding, labeling, cabling, and staging in alignment with safety protocols and network design plans. * Diagnoses and troubleshoots hardware issues using established procedures, identifies root causes, and replaces defective components as needed. * Handles hardware decommissioning and routine upgrades (e.g., memory enhancements, operating system rebuilds) with minimal supervision. * Follows escalation protocols to report and communicate incidents to technicians or team leads. *Requirements* * High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. * Basic understanding of computer hardware, servers, and components. * At least 1 year of experience supporting IT equipment or related technologies. * Familiarity with standard office productivity tools (e.g., email, spreadsheets, word processing). * Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays. * Previous data center experience is a plus. *Skills* * Data center operations * Rack and stack procedures * Troubleshooting and diagnostics *Additional Qualifications* * Strong team collaboration skills * Positive and proactive attitude * Willingness to go above and beyond expectations *Experience Level* * Intermediate *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
