Responsibilities

Position Summary:

Under the supervision of the designated Clinical Supervisor, the Associate Therapist, facilitates individual and group sessions with clients, as well as performs various clinical core functions. The Associate Therapist provides milieu management by modeling intervention techniques in mentoring floor staff. This position may coordinate the stage system with the completion of written assignments, reflection, subsequent advancement through the stages and scheduling of earned privileges.

Key Performance Responsibilities:

  • Carry a client case load as determined by supervisor.
  • Facilitate individual sessions.
  • Facilitate clinical and experiential group therapy sessions.
  • Participate in completion of clinical core functions which may include, but not limited to, screening, intake, orientation, assessment, treatment planning, intervention, and discharge planning.
  • Engage in a treatment team approach by coordinating treatment goals and services in collaboration with the treatment team.
  • Coordinate the stage system with the completion of written assignments, reflection, subsequent advancement through the stages and scheduling of earned privileges.
  • Adherence with documentation standards, including timely submission and quality record-keeping and reporting.
  • Model milieu management techniques utilizing trauma-informed, attachment-based, and relational therapeutic interventions.
  • Support the team with crisis prevention, intervention, and management as needed.
  • Attend Clinical New Hire Orientation, as well as various trainings, including clinical topics, Newport protocol-specific, and therapeutic modalities, as assigned by supervisor.
  • Attend individual, triadic, or group supervision weekly in accordance with state regulations.
  • Attend weekly treatment team, and clinical and staff meetings.
  • Maintain clear boundaries with residents and staff.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education, Experience, License Requirements:

  • Master's degree in a clinical discipline required.
  • Board-registered to accrue hours towards licensure in the State in which services are provided, required.
  • Experience working with children, adolescents or young adults in the mental health field preferred.

Compensation for this role ranges from $61,462-$78,747 per year depending on education and experience.
