Overview

LMI is seeking a Research Specialist to support our team within the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense, Acquisition and Sustainment (OUSD(A&S)), Joint Production Accelerator Cell (JPAC). The position will be located at the Pentagon in Arlington, Virginia. This position requires a TS/SCI clearance.

Responsibilities

    Oversee day-to-day office operations, ensuring the JPAC office runs efficiently and effectively.
  • Maintain office supplies, equipment, and resources, ensuring availability and functionality.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for administrative and operational inquiries, resolving issues promptly.
  • Support onboarding and training of new team members, ensuring seamless integration into the JPAC office.
  • Maintain and organize office records, files, and documentation to ensure accessibility and compliance with DoD standards.
  • As needed, manage schedules, calendars, and logistics for senior leaders, including coordinating meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements.
  • As needed, coordinate inputs to, and packaging of, read-ahead materials - including ensuring coordination with necessary stakeholders.
  • As needed, attend meetings and engagements with, or on behalf of, the JPAC Executive Director and prepare read-outs, notes, or minutes as appropriate.
  • Plan and manage projects and events, as necessary.
  • Execute additional duties as assigned in support of day-to-day JPAC operations.


Qualifications

  • TS/SCI clearance is required.
  • 5 or more years of experience supporting DoD or other Federal agencies.
  • Bachelor's degree is required.
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Prior experience providing administrative support to senior DoD leadership.
  • Excellent organizational skills, ability to establish and maintain working relationships with internal and external staff members, and the ability to work independently and take a proactive role.
  • Flexibility and ability to prioritize tasks according to senior staff requirements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
  • A true team player who maintains a positive attitude in a dynamic environment.
  • High energy, enthusiasm, tact, ability to interact effectively with senior executives from Government and industry as well as Pentagon staff members.
  • Ability to create and foster a cooperative work environment.
  • Self-directed, detail oriented in completing assigned tasks, able to adapt to changing work efforts and manage impact of shifting priorities.

Target Salary Range - $110,000 - $120,000
