SALARY RANGE: Estimated $135,000 - $155,000 annually *

*depending on experience, certifications, and qualifications

JOB STATUS: Full-Time; Salaried

SECURITY CLEARANCE: MUST have an active Secret security clearance

Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Network Engineer fto directly support the supporting the C3I & Infrastructure Division (AFLCMC/HNI), which is within the Cyber and Networks Directorate and located at Hanscom AFB, MA.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in a related field
  • Years of Experience: Ten years of experience in the respective technical / professional discipline being performed, five of which must be in the DoD. Two additional years of technical network engineering experience with proper certifications may substitute for Master's degree.
  • Current Required Security Clearance: DoD Secret clearance

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Functions as a technical expert engineer in systems development involving complex computer network or electronic systems for Air Force acquisition programs
  • Provide overall technical direction and guidance for performing requirements definition, system development, modification, integration, validation, and testing. Conduct special investigations associated with system development and sustainment support activities, including performance analyses, modeling and simulation, hardware/software investigations and reliability or maintainability studies
  • Determine logical solutions to major problems and develop or initiate changes to system architecture and/or hardware and software designs to resolve problems
  • Determine compatibility and interoperability issues of assigned systems and other related integrated systems and identify associated risks to system performance
  • Review systems documentation including plans, specifications, design data, procedures and other associated documents in support of assigned systems and interfaces with other associated systems
  • Develop comprehensive technical documentation for engineering forecasts, status reporting, and detailed planning of projects.
