Clinical Assistant- Genetics

• Supporting the Genetics Clinics at 300 Longwood and 2 Brookline Place.
• Will also float to Allergy, Dermatology, Immunology, and Rheumatology clinical specialties.
• Assisting clinician during examinations (i.e. obtaining, measuring and recording routine information such as temperature and blood pressure, and performing other related duties according to specific needs of clinic).
• Scheduling, receiving and/or registering patients, visitors and staff for appointments or procedures.
• Collecting, verifying and recording required information according to established procedures and instructions.
• Identifying and reporting unusual findings or changes in patient condition to Registered Nurse.
• Obtaining records, files and/or results for appointments and entering related information on appropriate computer systems.
• Answering, screening and routing telephone calls and performing general office support tasks.
• Transporting patients, supplies and equipment as needed.
• Working a schedule of 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with 1 Saturday morning shift per month.

• A HS Diploma or equivalent.

• 1 year of Clinical Assistant experience or related experience.
• Pediatric experience strongly preferred.

The posted pay range is Boston Children's reasonable and good-faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting.
