General Information: JMU's School of Professional & Continuing Education (SPCE) fosters learning across lifespans through transformative education and enrichment. SPCE offers a range of programs, including youth camps, adult degree completion, professional and workforce development, and lifelong learning, as well as partners with academic units across JMU to support a number of online or off-campus degree and certificate programs. This part-time role supports both the Lifelong Learning Institute (LLI) and Youth Programs within SPCE. The ideal candidate will assist with a variety of programmatic, logistical, and administrative tasks to ensure the success of events, courses, and activities across both programs. Duties and Responsibilities: LLI serves older adults, ages 55+, with courses, trips, lectures, and social events that encourage seniors to continue learning, expanding their horizons, and building relationships. Youth Programs offers a variety of camps, events, and activities for K-12 students, to help them explore interests, connect with others, and share experiences on a college campus. This part-time role supports both areas; LLI primarily operates during the fall and spring, and the majority of Youth Programs events happen over the summer, but there will be overlap throughout the year as needed.
