Summary:
Oversees and directs the day-to-day operation of an Environmental Services team ensuring a clean, orderly and safe environment.

Responsibilities:

• Schedules and assigns team members to work areas, monitors, and inspects for quality. Completes quarterly quality assurance responsibilities and documentation. Ensures that all quality standards are met by auditing processes, speaking with patients, and inspecting completed work.

• Ensures compliance with local, state and federal regulations. Assists in development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures. Conducts departmental orientation and training for team members. Participates in daily information sessions with a focus on patient satisfaction. Participates in departmental and hospital functions.

• Maintains proficiency in equipment and ensures equipment is inspected after use. Maintains responsibility for equipment (keys, beepers, floor equipment, etc.).

• Assists in completing performance evaluations. Investigates reports, maintains attendance records, and documents incidents. Makes recommendations related to hiring, provides documentation for disciplinary measures, demonstrates good time management, and performs other duties as assigned.

• Adheres to organizational and departmental policies, exhibiting understanding through daily job performance. Accurately uses the bed management system and monitors the Kronos system. Demonstrates flexibility by working a different shift when needed.
