The pay range for this position is $37.00 to $49.00 Starting wage is dependent on skills, experience, education and location. Pay range may vary by 10% depending upon the applicant's location.  Perform scheduled maintenance on electric power generation equipment including gas and diesel engines, generators, and fire pump engines at the customer's locationUses a high degree of independent judgment to repair a variety of complex equipment and tools, which involve mechanical, hydraulic, gas, diesel, and electrical systemsWork safely at all times, following company policies, procedures and standardsResponds to customer needs in a positive, supportive, and timely manner to ensure maximum value for work performedWork collaboratively and assist other technicians as needed regarding troubleshooting repairsDocument work orders in a complete and timely manner to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction; identify and communicate the need for parts for inventory Qualifications: 
 2-year technical college degree in diesel technology or related field; or high school diploma/GED and 2 years of comparable shop mechanicexperience5+ years of relevant experience in mechanical, electrical & diesel maintenance/repair, some field experience preferredKnowledge of electricity and electronics, engine diagnostics, failure analysisPrevious experience working on Caterpillar engines a plus but not requiredPossesses the ability to diagnose all equipment without supervision; is also able to read, follow, understand, and communicate schematics.Ability to write and communicate effectively, interact with supervisors, customers and team membersBasic computer skills to document work orders and utilize online diagnostic systemsOwn mechanic tool setAbility to maintain a safe and clean work environment including service truckWilling and able to respond to after-hour emergency calls as directed by the supervisorMust have and maintain a clean driving recordClass A CDL or willingness to obtain one within a defined periodObtain a DOT medical certification cardPass a DOT pre-employment drug screen & physical due to the role being deemed safety sensitive positionAble to operate equipment safely Minimum Physical Requirements:
