Support Specialist I is responsible for creating and maintaining internal documents/procedures according to established guidelines. The Support Specialist I is responsible, through various reviews, for verifying manually entered data on the core for accuracy to comply with document and regulatory requirements. In addition, the Support Specialist I is responsible for monitoring and tracking incoming emails to a dedicated email box.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Creates and maintains internal documents/procedures.
  • Maintains internal email and tracking system for regulatory issues.
  • Verifies data entered on the core system for accuracy to comply with departmental procedures and regulations.
  • Reviews files for internal or regulatory exceptions.
  • Provides support and training to Lending Operations.
  • Ensures all departmental documents and activities are performed in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures as applicable to this position, including completion of required compliance training.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

  • Skills
    • Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals, general business correspondence and/or journals or government regulations
    • Ability to write simple correspondence
    • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations, to customers, clients and other employees in the organization
  • Education and/or Experience
    • HS Diploma/GED or
    • 1 year applicable work experience
    • Previous banking experience preferred
  • Computer Skills
    • MS Office programs
  • Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
  • Other Qualifications (including physical requirements)
