Network Services Specialist WORK LOCATION: Hanscom AFB, MA SALARY RANGE: Estimated $120,000 - $135,000 annually * *depending on experience, certifications, and qualifications JOB STATUS: Full-Time; Salaried SECURITY CLEARANCE: MUST have an active Secret security clearance Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a Network Services Specialist supporting the C3I & Networks Division (AFLCMC/HNI), which is part of EPASS Cyber and Networks Directorate (EPASS HN II) contract, and located at Hanscom AFB, MA. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS:
- Education: Bachelors or Master's Degree in a related field
- Years of Experience: Ten years of experience in the respective technical / professional discipline being performed, five of which must be in the DoD. Two additional years of technical network engineering experience with proper certifications may substitute for Master's degree.
- Current Required Security Clearance: DoD Secret clearance
- Ability to work independently and apply the proper procedures and processes related to their area of expertise
- Experience configuring, operating, and testing DoD C4ISR components, systems, and tactical architectures
- Desired: knowledge of IP-Based networks and High Assurance Internet Protocol Encryptor (HAIPE) devices (KG-175/250)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Analyze and recommend network requirements
- Recommend and maintain network architecture and infrastructure
- Monitor network capacity and performance
- Diagnose and resolve network problems
- Recommend network backup and recovery procedures
- Install, test, maintain, and upgrade network operating systems software
- Ensure the rigorous application of information security/cybersecurity policies, principles, and practices in the delivery of network services
