With the assistance of microscopes and tweezers build components and sub-assemblies for high powered lasers following a set routine with specific procedures and instructions while operating machinery and standing at a workstation.. Schedule: Monday-Friday 7 am-3:30 pm. Duties/Responsibilities: Inspect, kit, install, and assemble components of fiber-optic medical products: optical fibers, ferrules, connectors, and packaging components Operate manufacturing test equipment: fiber-optic strippers and cleavers, power meters, laser test stations, RFID readers, and microscopes Use bonding materials: epoxies, glues, etc. Perform basic setup, and troubleshooting of equipment as needed Train other assemblers as assigned Wear appropriate cleanroom attire, work in a controlled manufacturing area requiring coats, hair and beard nets, gloves, and booties Use generic cleaning liquids (alcohol, isopropanol alcohol, acetone, etc.) Maintain cleanliness of work and common areas Cross-train in production process or area as assigned by the Supervisor Meet assigned production metrics as defined by the Supervisor Perform any and all other duties as assigned by the Supervisor Requirements Must have good communication skills and be able to understand and follow verbal and written work instructions. Regular and reliable attendance and the ability to work overtime are essential functions of this job. Must be present and on time for work as scheduled. Be able to work carefully, consistently and be able to identify errors. Familiarity with PCs and Microsoft Windows, a plus but no required. Actual starting pay is determined by a number of factors including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.
