We're seeking a future team member for the role of Vice President, Scrum Leader to join our Wealth Services Platform in our Agile team. This role is located in Lake Mary. In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:
- Establish and maintain Scrum practices, facilitating understanding of Scrum theory and practice within the Scrum Team and the organization.
- Remove impediments to the Team's progress and ensure all Scrum events take place, are positive, productive, and kept within the timebox.
- Coach Teams in self-management, cross-functionality, and help focus on creating high-value increments that meet the Definition of Done.
- Facilitate stakeholder collaboration, support Product Owners in backlog management and empirical product planning, and help the organization adopt an empirical approach for complex work.
- Track and resolve team dependencies, enable programs to meet expected outcomes through problem identification and decision-making support.
- Facilitate Team-level and program-level events including Big Room Planning, and foster innovation and strategic solution implementation within regional/global programs.
- Guide and coach multiple programs on agile practices to deliver high-quality products and services and oversee enterprise project and program lifecycle activities where applicable.
- Mentor less experienced Scrum Leaders and help teams reach high performance by employing coaching and development techniques.
- Support Product Owners in managing priorities and scope and contribute to the achievement of related area objectives.
To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:
- Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 6-8 years of relevant experience in a similar role, preferably with previous technical experience.
- Experience as a Scrum Master for software development teams on large initiatives.
- Knowledge of various Agile approaches including Scrum, SAFe, XP, Kanban, and Spotify.
- Familiarity with Agile techniques such as User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, and Agile Games.
- Experience using tools such as Jira and Confluence.
- Ability to quickly learn new technology and translate ambiguous topics into actionable plans with multiple stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, mentoring, and problem-solving skills.
- Preferred Agile certifications including CSM, PSM, SAFe SSM.
- Talent for driving change, building consensus, and resolving conflicts across multiple parties.
