Location: Positionrequired to be performed in-person at the College of Nursing on the University of Iowa Campus We are currently accepting applications to teach in ourundergraduate pre-licensure (entry level) nursing program, with appointments for academic-year (9-month) faculty positionsat50% effort or greater. Positions at or above 50% are eligible forUniversity of Iowa benefits. We're looking for candidates who bring:
- A strong foundation inclassroom, lab/simulation and/or clinical teachingwithin entry-level nursing education in: medical/surgical, pediatric, obstetrical, and/or mental health nursing
- A demonstrated ability to useactive learning strategiesto engage students.
- A commitment to excellence in undergraduate nursing education.
- Successful applicants may contribute to instruction in classroom, clinical, psychomotor skills and simulation-based learning in the Nursing Clinical Education Center, based on the applicants' background.

Education Requirement: |
- Earned master's from an accredited school of nursing (doctorate degree preferred)

Required Qualifications: |
- Expertise and experience in undergraduate nursing practice settings
- Evidence of potential in teaching, which can be demonstrated through clinical practice, experience in classroom teaching (including as a teaching assistant), staff education/development, precepting, earned teaching certificate, advising, mentoring, or other means.
- Evidence of potential to contribute to departmental and collegiate service and/or professional productivity, if the appointment will require service and/or professional productivity.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, and interpersonal skills; demonstrated by the ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information and needs through appropriate communication methods and behaviors to provide excellent customer service and maintain working relationships.
- Eligibility and ability to obtain and maintain licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Iowa. Selected candidate must complete the State of Iowa Registered Nurse licensure process upon appointment.

Desirable Qualifications: |
- Desired education from an R1 institution; a liberal arts college or a teaching intensive institution; or public, non-profit private institution.
- Doctoral degree in nursing or related field from an accredited school of nursing with national certification in specialty area (when applicable).
- Established record of excellence in teaching, mentoring students, advising students, formal mentoring of new faculty, or developing curricula or pedagogical approaches.
- Established record of excellence and impact in service at the college, educational program and/or university level.
