Credence has an immediate need for a Mid-Level ServiceNow Developer/Programmer to support large-scale digital modernization efforts for mission-critical Department of Defense (DoD) systems with massive national impact. The developer will work within the sustainment lifecycle, contributing to the design, development, testing, and maintenance of ServiceNow applications to meet user and mission needs. Candidates should have demonstrated experience with ServiceNow development, and a strong understanding of application sustainment and lifecycle management. This position is based in Credence's corporate offices located in Tyson's Corner in McLean, VA. This role is slated to kick off in Sept 2025.



Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the duties listed below

    Participate in the design, development, and configuration of ServiceNow applications, tools, and subsystems to support reuse, scalability, and domain analysis.
  • Support sustainment lifecycle management activities across program and project operations, ensuring stability and reliability of ServiceNow applications.
  • Collaborate with systems analysts, designers, and stakeholders to translate user requirements into detailed ServiceNow program specifications.
  • Develop, modify, and document ServiceNow application code, workflows, business rules, and integrations to correct errors or enhance capabilities.
  • Assist with the preparation and maintenance of technical documentation for developers, administrators, end users, and support teams.
  • Conduct unit testing, functional testing, and regression testing within ServiceNow to ensure quality and compliance with requirements.
  • Contribute to backlog refinement, sprint planning, and continuous improvement within an Agile development framework.
  • Monitor and report on the status, operation, and maintenance of ServiceNow applications to ensure alignment with DoD program goals.
  • Implement and enforce best practices for ServiceNow development, security, and sustainment in a highly regulated environment.


Education, Requirements and Qualifications

  • BA/BS in a technical discipline with eight (8) years of experience in application development, sustainment, or related software engineering
  • Hands-on experience in ServiceNow development
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments, supporting backlog management, sprint execution, and continuous improvement
  • Experience and knowledge of sustainment lifecycle management activities for programs and project operations.
  • Relevant certification from a nationally recognized technical authority
  • Must possess IT-II security clearance or have a current National Agency Check with Local Agency Check and Credit Check (NACLC), an active Secret clearance is preferred.

  • Active Public Trust /Secret Clearance preferred.

Hours on-site: Monday - Friday
