Store Manager

Time Equipment Rental & Sales is a locally owned and operated equipment rental business in the beautiful Black Hills of South Dakota. Located in Rapid City, we serve contractors, homeowners, and industry professionals. We are committed to excellent customer service, dependable equipment, and a strong team culture. We are looking for a Store Manager to lead our staff and oversee day-to-day operations. This position offers competitive pay plus performance-based bonuses and a full benefits package.

The Store Manager is responsible for supervising staff, managing daily store operations, and ensuring excellent customer service. This role requires strong leadership, problem-solving ability, and the skills to oversee budgets, safety compliance, and store performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily store operations and staff performance
• Train, supervise, and evaluate employees
• Develop and monitor employee training programs
• Review and analyze financial and performance reports (daily, weekly, monthly, annual)
• Assist with interviewing and hiring of employees
• Maintain customer service standards and resolve escalated issues
• Review inventory, pricing, and rental contracts
• Forecast income, expenses, and equipment usage; prepare budgets
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and security procedures
• Network with industry professionals and represent the company in meetings
• Investigate accidents, safety violations, and file reports when necessary
• Supervise facility maintenance and housekeeping

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field (required)
• Management-level experience (equipment rental industry preferred)
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Excellent customer service and communication abilities
• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
• Proficiency with computer systems and basic business math
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass a drug screening
• Professional appearance and work ethic
