Freight Forwarding Position Description Summary: Coordinate slotting product into the appropriate position in the warehouse. Responsible for maintaining warehouse safety standards as well as maintaining inventory and supplies. Principal Accountabilities (The following is intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed. It is not an exhaustive list of all expectations.): * Slot items in the pick faces in the most efficient order for pick up * Ensure that pick slips and reports are printed in a timely fashion * Maintain an inventory of supplies, order shipping supplies as necessary, and coordinate delivery of supplies within the campus * Maintain locations and create new locations in the RTCIS system * Design and print barcode labels * Assist in the case, weights, and measures function * Assist in zoning of new brand codes * Assist in training employees * Resolve basic computer issues and assist in troubleshooting In addition to the above essential functions, the following functional area assignments have additional essential functions as noted below: Additional Operations essential functions: * Monitor system looking for new orders that need to be vetted/distributed to the DCFCs The individual in this position must be capable of performing all of the essential functions with or without a reasonable accommodation. Working Environment: Assignment Complexity - Work on assignments that are moderately complex in nature where independent action and a high degree of initiative are required in resolving problems and developing recommendations. Accountability - Use ability as a skilled specialist to contribute in development of concepts and techniques, and to complete tasks in creative and effective ways. Impact of Decisions - Errors detectable upon supervisory review. Moderate impact on corporate operations and fiscal health. Working Relationships - Regularly interact with peers and management concerning matters of significantly complex scope and discretion. Scope - Work on problems moderately complex in scope. Act independently to determine methods and procedures on new assignments and may supervise the activities of other nonexempt personnel. Essential Functions: Must be able to pass any federal/state/local government, airport, or company-required background checks, clearances, and/or drug and alcohol tests. Good interpersonal skills required. High school diploma or equivalent required. Generally prefer 4-6 years of experience.
