As part of this position, you are will ensure a secure, well-kept, dependable, and operational workplace for Enbridge owned and leased buildings within a specific geographic area. You will be the primary 'single point of contact' to support Enbridge clients, Environment Health and Safety, Operation and local Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC) understanding their requirement to provide facility solutions.

What you will do

  • Manage operating, maintenance and construction activities completed through our Facilities Management program and external vendors that ensures services are responsive and cost effective; including routine maintenance to complex projects as it relates to building facilities

  • Responsible for providing customer service that supports business, employee and departmental needs and initiatives while maintaining a safe, healthy, functional workplace.

  • Responsible for developing and trackingCapital and Operations & Maintenance budget and forecasts for facility portfolio

  • Provide emergency response to facilities issues i.e., electrical, security, life, fire and safety alarm systems

  • Oversee inspecting, repairing, and maintaining light industrial and commercial air conditioning, heating, and refrigeration equipment for large buildings including automated building management systems (such as Tridium and Siemens).

  • Formulate strategic business plans, action plans and deliver business previews to Leadership

Who you are

You have the following qualifications and skills:

  • Four (4) or more years' experience, along with a university degree, OR a combination of formal education, certification and experience. Background in a technical field (i.e., HVAC / Plumbing / Electrical) is preferred.

  • Proven experience in progressive positions with demonstrated leadership skills

  • Leadership experience leading work plans and deliverables, as well as contractors and vendors

  • Understanding of building codes, industry standards and compliance requirements

  • Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships across departments & with regional management

  • Self starter with strong attention to detail

  • Understanding of building operations, building systems and occupant services

Working Conditions

  • Daily travel as required throughout North Carolina to various site locations - company vehicle is provided; limited overnight travel.

  • Clean driving record required.

  • Ability to adjust hours for operational support and participate in on-call response.

  • Overtime as required to meet the demands of the role.

Physical Requirements include but are not limited to:

Grasping, kneeling, light - moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.

Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.
