Career level with a complete understanding and wide application of technical principles, theories and concepts. Working under only general direction, provides technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems. Independently determines and develops approach to solutions. Designs, develops, evaluates and modifies systems and systems-oriented products. Gathers information concerning the capabilities of Company products; investigates the technical capabilities of Company products and competing equipment and/or solutions; stays abreast of developments in hardware and software; analyzes customer problems; assists in designing systems to satisfy customer needs. Researches, collects, and reports information on the ability and capacity of Company products and competitors. Coordinates resolution of product/service issues, upgrades, and problems. Prepares equipment analysis to instruct sales force and customers in equipment capabilities. May prepare and present sales proposals. Coordinates the planning, design, and installation of equipment, using knowledge of engineering and programming as well as sophisticated instruments and computers. Provides supervision of the customer installation of hardware and software. Conducts system calibrations after the hardware and software are installed. Provides technical guidance to management on changing trends and emerging products in the industry with the view to further improve existing technology and its application. Develops and maintains manuals, drawings, system specifications, electronic and hardcopy files of customer installations, calibration records, maintenance records, and quality control information. This Opportunity

We are seeking a talented professional Digital Twin Front End Developer who is interested in developing advanced multimodal (web, Unity/Unreal, augmented reality/virtual reality) user interfaces and visualizations of earth observation and scientific data. This position is located at our offices in Louisville, Colorado. Applicants must have a passion for innovation and ability to work in a collaborative environment while rapidly delivering on individual tasks.

Your Impact

• Responsible for developing front-end digital twin user interface and visualization of earth observation data and scientific analysis information
• Implement two-way interaction with digital twins of satellites, space environments, and their interactions
• Ability to deliver relevant information in an efficient and clean interface quickly
• Be part of an agile team delivering state-of-the art visualizations and UI for satellite observations, geospatial data, and satellite operations
• Provide expertise of advanced 3D visualization technologies and techniques

Required

• BS or technical school degree in a related field (or equivalent experience) and 5-7 years' experience in software engineering and development, or MS and 3-5 years; PhD 0-2 years
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
• Development experience with HTML/CSS/JavaScript/TypeScript/ReactJS
• Development experience using real-time 3D visualization
• Ability to create clean, minimal, and efficient interfaces
• Demonstrate initiative in performing job tasks
• Exhibit problem-solving skills leading to sound judgment and quality decision

Preferred

• Experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs and other web services
• Experience deploying containerized microservices using docker/podman/apptainer in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Experience with geospatial software packages and databases such as QGIS, ArcGIS, Rasdaman, PostGIS, etc.
• Experience with CesiumJS or other web visualization tools
• Experience in developing with Unity, Unreal, or other real-time visualization engine
• Knowledge of GIS and science data formats (NetCDF, HDF5, GeoJSON, etc.)
